This will prevent your display from shifting and sliding inside of the case during transportation, especially with shorter displays. This item came as promised, quick shipment, the case itself was a bit dirty and scratched, no big deal as it will get tossed about in transport later.

I like this product, pity its discontinued by the mfg.
